Block neodymium magnets (Nd-Fe-B) are composed of neodymium, iron, boron and a few transition metals. These magnets are extremely strong for their small size, metallic in appearance and shaped in blocks. Their max energy product can be 35MGOe~50MGOe, Block neodymium magnets are developed rapidly and applied widely due to their perfect characteristic, rich raw material resource and reasonable price.
Block neodymium magnets are brittle and prone to chipping and cracking. They do not take kindly to machining.
Block neodymium magnets will lose their magnetic properties if heated above 175°F (80°C).
Block neodymium magnets should never be burned, as burning them will create toxic fumes.
Like any tool or toy, neodymium magnets can be fun and useful, but must always be treated with care.
The strong magnetic fields of neodymium magnets can also damage magnetic media such as floppy disks, credit cards, magnetic I.D. cards, cassette tapes, video tapes or other such devices. They can also damage televisions, VCRs, computer monitors and other CRT displays. Never place neodymium magnets near electronic appliances.
Block neodymium magnets have several grads: N35 block neodymium magnets, N38 block neodymium magnets, N40 block neodymium magnets, N42 block neodymium magnets, N45 block neodymium magnets, N48 block neodymium magnets, N50 block neodymium magnets.
